- Subject #1: Vires (Strength: power, capability, perseverance, and resilience)
Florida State University defines Vires as the strength to persevere, lead, and uphold shared values in challenging times.
1. Tell us about a time or situation that you felt the need to intervene between two people that strongly disagreed, seeking to bring the emotion level down while encouraging constructive dialog on the topic. How did you demonstrate resilience, intellectual discipline, and respect while navigating the disagreement, using your strength to manage the situation?
2. How will you bring this form of strength to the FSU community? - Subject #2: Artes (Arts: creative disciplines, skills, historical context, subjects of study)

1. Discuss an experience in which exposure to differing viewpoints broadened your thinking rather than narrowing it. How have you cultivated the ability to analyze issues critically while maintaining respect for those with whom you disagree?
