Recipient must be a student in the College of Arts and Sciences within the Department of Physics who is a member of an ethnic or gender group which is underrepresented in the field.

Any student may apply to be considered for the award; however, it is the preference of the donor that the recipient be a member of an ethnic or gender group which is underrepresented in the field.
