Corey D. Dahlem Memorial Endowed Scholarships

Recipient must be a student in the College of Criminology and Criminal Justice who has completed their sophomore year with a minimum 2.75 GPA, is in good standing, has not been convicted of any alcohol-related offense, reckless driving or any type of driving or operating under the influence (DUI/DWI) charge and demonstrates financial need. First preference will be given to a natural or adopted child of any current sworn law enforcement officer with the Gainesville Police Department. Second preference will be given to the natural or adopted child of any current sworn law enforcement officer with the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office. Third preference will be given to the natural or adopted child of any current sworn law enforcement officer with the University of Florida Police Department. Fourth preference will be given to the natural or adopted child of any current sworn law enforcement agency in Pinellas County, FL. Fifth preference will be given to the natural or adopted child of any current sworn law enforcement officer or agent in any Federal or State of Florida agency (including, but not limited to, FBI, ATF, DEA, FDLE, FMP, and FHP). Sixth preference will be given to the natural or adopted child of any former sworn law enforcement officer who was employed by any local, city, county, or state law enforcement agency in the State of Florida. Seventh preference will be given to a student pursuing a degree in law enforcement. Eighth preference will be given to a student who is a Florida resident majoring in criminology and criminal justice. Ninth preference will be given to a student who is not a Florida resident majoring in criminology and criminal justice.
