Mark A. Berkley Research Endowment

Recipient must be actively involved in a research project with either: 1) Psychology Department faculty members in any research area or 2) Neuroscience faculty whose appointments are in the Psychology Department. Awarded funds may be used for purchasing research materials, supplies, equipment or research subjects. Funds requested for attending a scientific meeting require that the student must minimally be a co-presenter of their scholarly activity. Awards for travel will be restricted to Junior and Senior Psychology and Neuroscience majors (again sponsored by Psychology Neuroscience faculty) and may be used to pay for, but not limited to travel, housing and/or per diem. Awards, chosen by the committee, may be discretionary and not restricted to a single student. Awards will be based on proposals submitted to the committee, in a time and form stipulated by the committee.

Applicants for this award should submit the following materials in FS4U: 1) a brief overview of your research project that describes the background, goals, and methods of the study, 2) a request for funds that specifies the amount of funding requested and a breakdown of how the funds will be used, and 3) provide a letter of support from your faculty advisor specifying how the project would be funded, if the project is not selected for a Berkley award.
