FSU Black Alumni - In Honor of Maxwell Courtney
Recipient must be enrolled as a student at FSU during the current academic year and must have completed or updated the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the current academic school year. Recipient must also be an incoming freshmen from one of Duval, Gadsden, Leon, Miami-Dade or Orange Counties, who are graduating from High School with an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or the Early College Program as eligible candidates for consideration of this award, as the Black Alumni, Inc. deem them to be first time freshmen on campus. During the current academic school year, the FSU Black Alumni will award a $500.00 scholarship in honor of Maxwell Courtney to one (1) deserving student. This one-time scholarship award will be distributed to the selected recipient during Fall semester, unless otherwise specified.
One of the purposes of this scholarship is to increase diversity at Florida State University. Any student may apply to be considered for the award; however, it is the preference of the donor that the recipient be Black or African American.
