Dunaway Family Celebrating Excellence Scholarships

Recipient must be enrolled in the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy.

Applicants are encouraged to tailor their responses to one or more of the following individuals. Each has the same application requirements. An overview has been provided for each person listed, including links to sample books, articles, videos, and podcasts with or about that person.

  • Condoleezza Rice – First Female African-American US Secretary of State
  • Coleman Hughes – Writer, Podcast Host, and Forbes 30 Under 30
  • Ian Rowe – Champion of Education for Disadvantaged Children
  • Robert Woodson – Civil Rights Leader – Marched With MLK

Applicants must do one of the following before responding:

  • read one book by the person selected, or
  • read at least two articles written by or about the person selected, or
  • watch at least two video interviews with or about the person selected, or
  • watch or listen to at least two podcasts with or about the person selected.

Applicants will then indicate which individual(s) they have selected and submit their Word or PDF, responding to each of the listed questions and ensuring their name and FSU email address are included at the top of their submission:
