Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Book Stipend

Recipient must be either 1) an undergraduate student with a minimum 2.5 GPA who has completed 15 credit hours at FSU prior to submission of this application, be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours in the current semester, and maintain full-time enrollment at FSU for the subsequent academic year, or 2) a graduate student with a minimum 3.0 GPA, be enrolled in at least 9 credit hours in the current semester, and maintain full-time enrollment at FSU for the subsequent academic year.

One of the purposes of this scholarship is to increase diversity at Florida State University. Any student may apply to be considered for the award; however, it is the preference of the donor that the recipient be an African American student.

To apply, students must provide a transcript, a letter of recommendation, and answer four (4) essay questions. Due to the volume of applicants, any student who has been awarded the book stipend in the past may not apply again.
