Fitzhugh and Essie D. Carter Scholarship

Recipient must be a student pursuing a Bachelors of Science or Bachelors of Arts degree at the Tallahassee or Panama City campus who is of good moral character and has a minimum 2.0 GPA. Applicants can be entering Florida State University as a high school graduate or as a community college graduate. For applicants graduating from high school, preference will be given to a student from Vernon High School, Chipley High School, or any Washington County public high school who first majors in Education, followed by Nursing and then any major. For community college graduates, preference will be given to a student from Chipola College or Gulf Coast Community College who has graduated from a Washington County high school who first majors in Education, followed by Nursing and then any major.
